ABOUT
RICHARD GOODMAN

Richard Goodman is a lifelong Macomb County resident and an attorney for the Macomb County Friend of the Court. Every day, he works with families facing legal and financial challenges.

He knows that when people walk into district court, they are often stressed, missing work, and unsure what to expect.

A courtroom should never make those problems worse. The 38th District Court should reflect professionalism, preparation, and respect at every level.

Richard Goodman will bring disciplined preparation, clear communication, and respect for every person who enters the courtroom.

FAIR. PREPARED. RESPECTFUL.

That’s Richard Goodman. A better judge for Eastpointe.

A BETTER JUDGE FOR EASTPOINTE

RICHARD GOODMAN IS FAIR

Justice must be consistent and unbiased. Every person deserves to be heard. Decisions must be based on facts and law — not frustration or delay.

Fairness builds public trust.

RICHARD GOODMAN IS PREPARED

Citizens shouldn’t be asked to return repeatedly or miss work because the judge isn’t prepared.

Richard brings courtroom experience and legal training to ensure court is orderly and predictable.

RICHARD GOODMAN IS RESPECTFUL

Dignity matters. Citizens deserve professionalism. Clear communication reduces confusion. Courtesy reduces tension.

Our residents should always be respected.

THE 38TH DISTRICT COURT

The 38th District Court is Eastpointe’s local trial court. It handles the cases that affect daily life most directly, including traffic matters, misdemeanor cases, landlord-tenant disputes, small claims, civil lawsuits up to $25,000, and the early stages of felony cases.

It should deliver justice fairly, treat people with respect, keep the courtroom orderly and on time, and give residents a clear, professional process they can trust.
